Unlocking Private Investment for Mongolia’s Economic Diversification
The event brought together representatives from government, the private sector, financial institutions, and development partners to discuss how Mongolia can strengthen its investment environment and enable more diversified, private sector-led economic growth.
The CPSD highlighted three key areas with strong potential for private investment and value creation:
- Sustainable cashmere processing
- Solar and wind energy generation
- Exploration of energy transition minerals
A panel discussion brought together policymakers and private sector leaders from Mongolia’s business environment, energy, mining, agriculture and light industry, banking, and investment sectors.
The discussion focused on key barriers to greater private investment and practical actions needed to increase domestic value addition, improve conditions for investors, and turn Mongolia’s economic potential into sustainable growth.
The event also reinforced the importance of continued public-private dialogue and collaboration in moving from diagnosis to implementation.
