COP17 Ulaanbaatar: Over 15,000 Registered in the Blue Zone as Delegates from 167 Countries Arrive in Mongolia

As of August 17, 2026, a total of 15,107 people have registered for the Blue Zone of UNCCD COP17, with participant registration still ongoing.

In connection with COP17, a total of 9,736 room nights have been booked at hotels. Meanwhile, the Blue Zone recorded 23,162 entries in total, including repeat entries, and 1,355 vehicles have entered the venue.

In terms of health, safety, and on-site services, 49 people have received first-aid assistance, while 20 cases of lost or forgotten belongings have been recorded. No fire- or safety-related incidents have been reported. As of August 17, delegates from 167 countries have entered Mongolia.
