Mongolia to Establish Legal Framework for Green Data Centers

At its regular meeting, the Cabinet resolved to submit to the State Great Khural of Mongolia this week a draft law aimed at establishing the legal and regulatory framework for the development of green data centers.

Mongolia seeks to diversify its economy by leveraging its energy resources to attract investment in artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency data centers.

The Government of Mongolia has set a strategic objective of achieving full energy self-sufficiency by 2028–2030 and is taking measures toward achieving this goal.
